I have been infected with the procrastination virus. I’ve put the task of posting something on this blog aside so many times that it has almost been a month since my last post. SHAME ON ME!
Well today’s post was just too good to pass up. I would like to share with you, my latest purchase and gift to myself (everyday is my birthday in June).
I’ve always wanted a trench. It’s classic, timeless and a must have piece in any mans wardrobe at SOME point of his life. My time was now. I had searched high and low for the perfect trench coat that suited my needs, my style and my wardrobe. It couldn’t be just any regular trench, this one had to be the cream of the crop!
After months of searching, I had almost given up. Yet something in my mind told me that it would pop out from no where, right onto my lap. It literally did. There I was, walking into Barney’s New York for some exclusive window shopping (prices are insane!) and WHAM, Trench Coat, with the PERFECT details and shape AND length. It was just perfect. “It’s the last in the company” the associate said…of course it is. “It’s 65% off this thursday too!” Of course it is! Not much thought was put into this purchase. I had to have it. The coat was the perfect hybrid of your classic trench with a slight modern twist in detail. I knew I would not be so lucky as to stumble upon something quite as perfect any time soon. Although I cringed at the total when she swiped my card, I was one happy camper as I waltzed out of the store.
